Epoxy-polyester powders are general purpose coatings and used most extensively in the powder coating industry due to their versatility aspects. This chemistry of powder coatings find its market segments in a wide range because they can be designed as per the requirements of brilliance, finish, reactivity, for all those applications where resistance a limited amount of exposure to sunlight is experienced such as domestic electrical appliances, metal office furniture, shelves, radiators, shower boxes and all those articles that require an excellent decorative and protective effect.
Epoxy Polyester Powders also known as Hybrid powders. Hybrid is a combination of Epoxy and Polyester resins. The coating forms a hard film on the substrate with good resistance to mechanical damage. It has good resistance to yellowing of the surface film and has very limited orange peel.
The surface to be coated must be cleaned from oils, grease or flash rust.
The curing schedule is 10-15 minutes @180- 200ºC metal temperature.
Store in a cool and dry place at a temperature lower than 30°C. Higher temperature may damage the chemical and mechanical properties of the powder
